Winn Maddrey
Winn Maddrey has more than nineteen years experience in communications, especially in the public relations, public affairs and marketing area. For the past fourteen years, Maddrey has led business development and served as a strategist, working with teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Additionally, Maddrey advises on business and policy issues and works on a multitude of different industries involving sensitive stakeholder issues. Maddrey’s expertise includes experience working in interim roles, turnaround, restructuring, distressed, venture-backed and/or startup scenarios. He also has international business experience.
Founded in 2003, Blue Nine Partners was created to bring a combination of communications strategy, business strategy and implementation. Previously, Maddrey started a PR firm, Crescent PR, Inc., which he grew and sold to Capstrat in 2001. Before moving to Charlotte, Maddrey served in two Executive Branch roles, first in Presidential Personnel and later, at the US Department of Commerce. His first role was that of a Legislative Correspondent on Capitol Hill where he worked on the House side on constituent issues and as a speechwriter.
